Cebu Port Guide 2026: Which Pier, the Terminal Fee and When to Arrive
Your vessel ticket, not the shipping line name alone, decides where you should go at Cebu Port. Use this guide to check the pier and move through the terminal calmly.
Most passenger ferries out of Cebu City leave from Pier 1 or Pier 3 of Cebu Baseport, and your ticket tells you which. Pier 1 carries OceanJet, Cokaliong, 2GO and Lite Ferries among others; Pier 3 carries the fast-craft cluster. Give the driver the pier number and terminal name, not the shipping line, carry ₱25 in cash for the terminal fee, and arrive by the time your operator asks, which ranges from about an hour to four.

The main passenger pier. Reported operators: OceanJet, Cokaliong, Lite Ferries, 2GO Travel, SuperCat and Clemer Lines. OceanJet’s published head office is at Pier 4 on McArthur Road, but its sailings board here.
The fast craft cluster
Reported operators: Island Water, Lite Ferries, Trans-Asia, Medallion, Weesam, SeaCat, Starlite, FastCat, Topline Express, Metro Ferry and Roble Shipping. Check the ticket for the terminal name.
Closed 5 to 9 PM
Since 28 March 2026, Pier 3 Primary Gate 3 is closed to all vehicles from 5 PM to 9 PM daily. Drivers use Gates 1, 2, 5, 6 or 7. Tell yours before you reach the port road.
₱25 in cash
₱25 regular, ₱20 students, free for seniors, PWD and under-12s, paid inside after you show a ticket. Waived 18 April to 17 June 2026 under CPA MC 04-2026, collected again from 18 June.
Depends on the line
2GO: be at the terminal 3 to 4 hours before; gates close 1 hour before; bring a printed eTicket and ID. Cokaliong asked passengers to arrive 2 to 3 hours early for Holy Week 2026. Fast craft: aim for 1 hour.

Who runs Cebu port
Cebu Baseport is run by the Cebu Port Authority under its own charter, not by the Philippine Ports Authority. That matters when you look up rules: PPA notices, including its ORAS online booking system, do not automatically cover Cebu. The CPA publishes no pier-by-destination list, so the pier lists below come from operators and booking platforms, dated.

Source: phbus.com pier list, updated May 2026. Lite Ferries appears at both piers, so read the terminal on your ticket. One address causes confusion: OceanJet publishes its main office as Pier 4, McArthur Road, and booking sites copy it. That is the office. OceanJet sailings are listed at Pier 1.

If you booked through a third-party platform, you may need to swap the voucher for a ticket at the operator counter, which is a separate and usually slower queue. MARINA’s digital ticketing circular, MC DS No. 2026-01, published on 25 March 2026, gives major ports two years to move ticketing online, so expect this to change. Paid inside the terminal after you show a ticket. The Cebu Port Authority suspended passenger terminal fees from 18 April to 17 June 2026 under MC No. 04-2026, a fuel-relief measure that also cut domestic berthing and anchorage charges by 40 percent, and regular charges resumed on 18 June. Fee collection was also suspended in October 2025 during a structural assessment of Piers 1 and 3. If you paid nothing on a recent trip, one of those windows explains it.
Getting to the pier
- Tell the driver the pier number and terminal name.
- Evening sailings from Pier 3: Primary Gate 3 is closed to all vehicles 5 PM to 9 PM daily since 28 March 2026. Use Gates 1, 2, 5, 6 or 7.
- Add an hour to the traffic app for a morning departure; the North Reclamation approach is slow at rush hour.
- Carry cash for the terminal fee and for porters.
- Fast craft baggage limits are tight; the baggage guide has each operator’s allowance.
There is no port-run luggage storage. Most hotels will hold bags on your checkout day.
If the sailing is canceled
When a sailing is canceled you are entitled to a refund or rebooking; the rules and what operators owe for weather delays are in what happens when the boat does not sail.
