Tatang’s Lechon, Apas: Cebu’s New Michelin Bib Gourmand, Prices and Hours
Tatang's in Apas just made the Michelin Bib Gourmand list for 2027. Boneless lechon belly by the kilo, a ₱180 value meal, hours and what to expect at lunch.
Lunch on Friday, 30 October 2026, the day after the Michelin Guide named it a Bib Gourmand. By 12:30 PM the dining room was full and people were still walking in.
Tatang’s does one thing: extra crispy, boneless Cebu lechon belly, weighed on a scale and chopped to order in a green house on Wilson Street in Apas. On 29 October 2026 the Michelin Guide added it to its 2027 Bib Gourmand list, the guide’s pick for good cooking at a fair price. A quarter kilo is ₱265. A value meal with two puso and a soft drink is ₱180.

Tatang’s and the Michelin Bib Gourmand
Tatang’s Lechon is one of ten new Bib Gourmand restaurants in the Michelin Guide Manila and Environs and Cebu 2027, announced at the ceremony on 29 October 2026. A Bib Gourmand is not a star. It is Michelin’s list for places where the cooking is good and the bill stays reasonable. A ₱180 lechon lunch fits that brief exactly. For the other Cebu lechon name in the guide, see House of Lechon.

How ordering works
The belly is sold by weight, and the weighing happens in front of you. A slab goes on the digital scale at the counter, the price comes up, then it is chopped on the board. One order photographed that lunch: 990 grams of spicy belly at ₱1,080 a kilo, ₱1,069.20 on the display. If you are feeding a table, order by the kilo. If it is just you, the ₱180 value meal is the answer.

Puso hangs in bunches by the kitchen door at ₱10 each. One house rule is posted on the wall: no outside food or drinks.
Hours and how to get there
Tatang’s is open every day from 10 AM to 8 PM. Checked 30 October 2026. It is on Wilson Street in Apas, on the Lahug side of the city: a green two-story house with the Tatang’s sign over the front windows. For a whole belly or a big order, call (032) 316 4719 or 0917 547 8561.

Worth knowing before you go
It is small. One dining room with green walls, long shared tables, louvered windows and wall fans, and it was full at lunch the day after the Michelin news broke. Expect the line to grow from here, so come early or late rather than at noon. The kitchen sits right off the dining room, smoky and in plain view. This is a lechon house, not a restaurant you dress up for.

More Cebu tables in the guide: House of Lechon, and Esmen in Pasil for larang. For how to order at a Cebu seafood grill, see sutukil.
