The Outlets @MEZ2 Estate, Lapu-Lapu: the old Pueblo Verde under a new name

The Outlets @MEZ2 Estate in Barangay Basak, Lapu-Lapu, is the outlet mall Cebu knew for more than a decade as The Outlets at Pueblo Verde. It took the new name in late 2025 to match the economic zone around it, Mactan Economic Zone 2, which Aboitiz runs. It is the same place: low open-air blocks, covered walkways, brand outlets on one side and restaurants on the other, about two and a half kilometers in a straight line from the airport terminals.

Maps, ride apps and business pages may still show the old name, and locals call the whole area Tamiya. Search any of the three and you end up in the same place.
What is at The Outlets now
More than 70 stores and restaurants, by the operator’s own count. Nike, Adidas, Guess, Asics, Vans, Casio and Sperry are among the brands, and the Adidas store here was the first Adidas Pulse concept store in the Philippines. There is a Robinsons Supermarket on site for anything the outlets do not sell.
It opened with eight stores: Adidas, Nike, Converse, Levi’s, Dockers, Giordano, G-Force and Peso Store. The tenant mix has changed since, so treat the 2020 frames below as history, not a store list.
Where to eat and get coffee
Starbucks opened its own two-storey building here on 19 September 2026, clad in Mactan stone, and keeps the longest hours on the estate: 7 a.m. to midnight. The Starbucks at The Outlets @MEZ2 covers it. Bo’s Coffee is across the road from it.
Chika-an Cebuano Kitchen reopened after a renovation on 26 November 2025 with woven chairs, an orange booth by the window and its Cebuano bestsellers: sinampalukang manok, grilled tuna panga and lechon kawali. At the reopening it ran 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, and a barkada set for four was ₱1,449.
The Outlets hours
Stores open at 11 a.m. and close at around 8 p.m. on weekdays, later on weekends. There is no single published schedule for every tenant, so check the store you are going for. Restaurants and cafes keep their own hours, and the Starbucks opens four hours before the shops do.
Arrive before 11 and the shutters are still down. Have the coffee first.
Before you go
It sits inside a working economic zone. MEZ2 covers 63 hectares, with 42 companies and about 14,000 people working there. The mall is the part of it open to everyone.
It is close to the airport. About two and a half kilometers from the terminals in a straight line, which makes it one of the few places to spend a couple of hours before a flight that is not the departure hall. The painted walls were part of it. In 2018 murals ran along the road side of the estate and a giant fork stood in the hedge by the restaurants.
