What stopped in 2026
Doha. Qatar Airways has not flown Cebu since early March 2026, when the Gulf airspace closures grounded the route. No return date had been published as of 30 September.
Macau, Cheongju and Daegu. AirAsia Philippines’ Macau flights, Aero K’s Cheongju flights and Jeju Air’s Daegu flights no longer appear in airline schedules. None of the three is running.
Fewer airlines to Seoul. Philippine Airlines and T’way stopped flying Cebu to Incheon in March 2026, and Asiana paused its flights until 24 October. Seoul still has four airlines flying daily or close to it.

Domestic flights from Cebu
Five Philippine airlines fly domestic routes out of Terminal 1. Cebgo is Cebu Pacific’s turboprop arm and you book it on the Cebu Pacific site. It took over AirSWIFT’s flights, El Nido included, on 1 July 2026. Philippine Airlines flights on the smaller routes are operated by PAL Express. AirAsia Philippines now flies only to Manila from Cebu. Sunlight Air flies small turboprops to Siquijor, Siargao and Coron.
Frequencies on the turboprop routes move month to month, so they are left out below. The booking page on the day is the only schedule worth trusting.

What changed on the domestic side in 2026
Cebu Pacific’s jets left four routes in June and Cebgo kept them. Bacolod, Tacloban, Butuan and Dumaguete are now turboprop only on the Cebu Pacific side, which means a smaller plane.
San Vicente in Palawan lost its only Cebu flight at the end of February 2026. For Port Barton and Long Beach, fly to Puerto Princesa and go by road.
Philippine Airlines suspended Ozamiz and Calbayog from May 2026. Cebgo still flies both.
AirAsia Philippines pulled back to Manila only, dropping Davao, Iloilo and Caticlan, and Sunlight Air stopped flying Cebu to Manila and Cagayan de Oro. Every one of those cities still has a nonstop on another airline.
Caticlan on Cebgo appears in schedules from 26 October 2026 but had not been announced by the airline as of 30 September.

Before you fly
Check which terminal you need before you get in the car, because Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are separate buildings. The Mactan-Cebu airport guide covers the terminals, connections and the ride into the city. Flying abroad, read the departure requirements and the travel tax guide before the day. For south Cebu, the case for flying into Dumaguete instead is worth reading first.
