Churrasco Nights at Blu Bar & Grill: flip the card green for more meat

Churrasco Nights ran at Blu Bar & Grill, the penthouse restaurant of Marco Polo Plaza Cebu, through 2025, extended that September. It ran Thursday to Saturday, 6 to 9:30 PM, at these prices. Classic is ₱1,200, or ₱1,080 booked online. Elevated adds beef tomahawk and ostrich fillet for ₱1,800, or ₱1,700 online.

It is a Brazilian rodízio: sides and desserts are self-service, and the meat comes to the table on long skewers, carved straight onto the plate for as long as the table wants it.

How the card works

Every table gets a card. Green says More Meat Please. Red says I’m Good. Leave it green and the carvers keep coming round. Turn it red to take a break, then flip it back when the plate is clear.

Pace it. Flip to red between rounds and wait for the beef, rather than filling up on whichever skewer happens to arrive first.

The six cuts

From the menu on the table:

• Picanha, sirloin cap with rock salt. The one to wait for.
• Costela, slow-roasted beef ribs.
• Frango, chicken skewers with oregano, garlic and cumin.
• Linguiça, smoked pork sausage.
• Pork belly, crisp skin, tender meat.
• Cordeiro, lamb skewer with rosemary and garlic.

Squid and fish came off the flat-top as well. The self-service side runs to pão de queijo, feijão tropeiro, vinagrete, rice, a Brazilian potato salad, Caesar and green salads, then brigadeiro, pudim de leite, grilled banana with caramel, grilled pineapple and fruit. Chimichurri and a mango salsa sit on the counter for the meat.

Classic or Elevated

The Elevated tier adds two things to the rotation: a beef tomahawk on the bone, carried to the table whole, and ostrich fillet. It is the one for a table celebrating something, or for anyone who wants to say they have tried ostrich. Classic already carries the picanha and the ribs, so for a first visit, Classic booked online at ₱1,080 is the value ticket.

Before going

• Arrive at 6. The rodízio runs three and a half hours. An early table also gets the terrace in the last of the daylight, with the whole of Cebu City running downhill to the harbor.
• Book online for ₱120 off Classic or ₱100 off Elevated.
• Ask for the terrace. It is alfresco, and the view is the second reason to come up.
