Bars in Cebu City: Where to Drink and What to Expect

The best bar in Cebu City right now is The Lost Unicorn, a Korean-inspired speakeasy that made Tatler’s list of the 20 best bars in the Philippines for 2026, the only one outside Metro Manila. Around it, uptown Cebu has a bar for most kinds of night: hidden cocktail rooms in Banilad, a fusion kitchen with local craft beer in Kasambagan, and clubs that run until four in the morning near the Capitol.

Expect to pay about ₱300 to ₱500 for a craft cocktail, more at the top end, and ₱150 to ₱250 for a beer or highball. Every bar below showed recent activity when this guide was checked on October 26, 2026. Two bars from the earlier version of this list, Rabbit Hole in Banawa and X/X on Gov. M. Cuenco Ave, are out because their status could not be confirmed.

1. The Lost Unicorn: the best cocktails in Cebu

One Montage, Archbishop Reyes Avenue, Kamputhaw. The entrance is a wall of lockers inside Eat&, the Korean restaurant on the upper ground floor, and one of them opens. Inside, the cocktails lean Korean: the Omija is a gin highball with omija syrup, aloe and a cheese foam. The bar team has taken its menu on guest shifts abroad, most recently in Bangkok in September 2026.

It is the priciest room on this list and the one to pick if you only have one night.

2. Dosage: coffee by day, cocktails by night

Gov. M. Cuenco Avenue, Banilad, near the flyover. Dosage opened in February 2024 as a coffee bar and now presents mostly as Dosage Coffee; the cocktail bar is the hidden half. The backlit stone counter is the room’s centerpiece, and the bestseller is a gin bramble. Reviewers call it on the pricier end.

3. Gamut Bar + Kitchen: food, cocktails and Cebu craft beer

8 Gen. Lim Street, Villa Aurora, Kasambagan. The pick for a group that wants to eat properly. The kitchen does fusion plates, the bar does cocktails and pours Cebu craft beer, and food and drinks run roughly ₱200 to ₱500. The room is warm and dim.

4. Beat Bar by Europe: the hidden lounge

Second floor of Europe Fusion, Gov. M. Cuenco Avenue, Banilad. A music bar above a restaurant, with DJs and no entrance fee. It suits a night that starts with dinner downstairs and does not want a full club.

5. Barrio Bar and Lounge: the late one

Rahmann Street, near the Capitol. A full club with DJs and a big LED screen, open from 9 PM to about 4 AM, later on weekends. In 2025 the cover was ₱100 on Friday and Saturday and free the rest of the week; a beer was ₱150 in May 2026, and tables cost more. On some weeknights it now hosts salsa and bachata socials.

6. Core Bar + Company and DOT

One Paseo, Banilad. A club for a younger crowd that opened at the end of 2023, with a speakeasy called DOT inside: acoustic sets early in the week and DJs from Thursday to Saturday.

• The Distillery, inside Crossroads on Gov. M. Cuenco Ave. A crowd favorite since 2012 that is also a liquor shop. Open until 3 AM on weekdays and 5 AM on weekends.
• Llula, in Apas. A password speakeasy for tapas and cocktails; the password changes weekly.
• Trademark Bar & Lounge, on Gov. M. Cuenco Ave. Hip-hop and R&B until 3 or 4 AM.

Practical notes

• Getting around. Grab and taxis are easiest. Gov. M. Cuenco Ave in Banilad has the densest cluster.
• Dress. Smart casual for the cocktail bars and clubs; clubs commonly turn away slippers and sando.
• ID. Bring one. The legal drinking age is 18.
• Check first. Bars in Cebu change hours, open and close often. Look at a venue’s page the day you go.

The drawbacks: the best rooms are small and full on weekends and the clubs are loud and late.
