Which Cebu Road Trip Should You Actually Take?
There are four good road trips out of Cebu City and most people do the wrong one first. They take the drive everyone posts about, discover it needed an earlier alarm or a better bike, and come home thinking Cebu is smaller than it is.
Eight questions. No sign up, nothing stored, about ninety seconds. Answer how you actually travel rather than how you would like to, because the road does not care.
Which Cebu road trip should you actually take?

The four routes, in full
The Transcentral Loop. National Route 815 out of the city and over the mountains to Balamban, returning via Toledo and Manipis at 68 km or Naga and Uling at 73. The Balamban LGU puts the Transcentral leg itself at 49 km and about an hour twenty in a light vehicle. It is the best riding on the island and it currently has an active landslide zone between Cansomoroy and Gaas. Read the day trip guide and, if you are going late, the night assessment.
The Southern Heritage Drive. Six Spanish-era churches in one linear run down the Cebu South Road, ending at the Cuartel ruins in Oslob in late light. Four are National Cultural Treasures declared in June 2019, Boljoon has been one since 2001, and no southern church was damaged by the 2025 earthquake. The full route is in the heritage drive guide.
The Peak and the Falls. Mantalongon in Dalaguete up to Osmeña Peak, then the long descent to Kawasan in Badian. Four to six hours of walking with no confirmed water on the way down, and a traverse whose current status nobody publishes. The traverse guide has the fees, which range wildly, and the honest caveats.
The Northern Island Run. Either Bantayan, at about ₱6,100 each for four days if six of you go, or Camotes, where the caves are only swimmable at high tide. Both are cheaper than they look and both punish bad timing.
