Samboan in the southern part of Cebu is a secluded town known for its impressive waterfalls. One of them is the triple drop Binalayan Hidden Falls which is not at all that unnoticeable.
Situated just along the highway, you can find a signboard leading up to Binalayan. It is made of two main levels and is very easily accessible. You will need to hike for around 15 minutes in the forest to get there. There are a few shallow river crossings, so it’s best to wear waterproof sandals to avoid soaked shoes.
The locals refer to this place as “Hidden” because of the unique structure of the waterfalls. Visitors need to climb the first level to see the main attraction. The water in the pool is cold but very clean.
The place is smaller than the other waterfalls, but it offers you several levels of cliff jumping. The plunge pool is around 7 to 9-feet in depth.
Binalayan Hidden Falls is a paradise for cliff jumpers and adventurers. We strongly suggest asking your guide where the different jump spots are so as not to injure yourself. And if you are adventurous enough, you can also jump in the waterfalls.

The downpour of the falls can be pretty heavy. We suggest bringing a waterproof pouch to protect your gears when traveling.

Samboan is a haven for chasing waterfalls. There are plenty of amazing falls nearby that you can visit. Aguinid Falls is less than 10 minutes away, while Dao Falls is around 15 minutes away.
How to get there:
By bus: Take a bus from South Bus Terminal (beside E-mall) to Samboan and inform the driver to drop you off in Binalayan Hidden Falls.
By car: Navigate using Waze or Google / Apple Maps and key in Binalayan Hidden Falls as your destination. The entrance to the falls is not at all hidden and is just a few meters away from the main highway. There are plenty of parking spaces available.
