A hillside on fire with celosia, twenty minutes above downtown. ₱100 in, golden hour recommended.
Sirao Garden earned its nickname the hard way: a hillside in Busay planted so densely with celosia that from the right angle the mountains look like they caught fire in pink and orange. The Little Amsterdam of Cebu is twenty minutes and a full climate away from downtown, and at ₱100 a head it is one of the cheapest resets the city offers.
The verdict: come early morning or late afternoon. Midday flattens the colors and fills the paths; golden hour is when the celosia does what you drove up for.

A landscaped flower farm in the hills above Cebu City: fields of celosia and sunflowers, ornamental beds, and winding paths with the countryside falling away behind them. Between the flowers sit the photo structures the garden is famous for, whimsical arches, cottages, colorful rocks, a replica of Magellan’s Cross with a Sto. Niño statue, and the giant hand you climb for a view over the whole garden. There is a smaller, lower hand for anyone who would rather not negotiate with heights.

Sirao slots perfectly into Cebu’s uphill circuit. The Temple of Leah is minutes downhill, Tops waits above for sunset, and the hills are ringed with cafés with views: La Parisienne Sky, Top of Cebu, Serenity Café. Hikers can push on to Mt. Manunggal; families do well at Mountain View Nature’s Park or West 35.
How much is the Sirao Garden entrance fee?
₱100 per person, open daily from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Why is Sirao called the Little Amsterdam of Cebu?
For its dense flower fields, especially the celosia blooms that carpet the hillside in color.
When is the best time to visit Sirao Garden?
Early morning or late afternoon, for softer light, cooler air, and fewer people in your frame.
